The Outcome: What do we hope to accomplish?

By focusing on our two mottoes below, we hope to understand what schools have them and what schools do not.

Motto 1) “Every school shall have a functioning Student Government Association (SGA), Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and Alumni Association (AA).” This motto is called Friends of School .

Motto 2) “Every school shall have a garden, a farmers market and a grocery store.” This motto is called Mo’ Better Food.

We hope to answer these questions:

What schools have Student Government Associations, Parent Teacher Associations and Alumni Associations and what schools do not ? What are the best practices of your school-based, memership organizations? What schools have school gardens? farmer markets, grocery stores? What are some of the best practices to grow food, sell food, etc.

In between the answering of these questions, I will share different aspects of why Familyhood is a systemic, intergenerational approach of building community from the local community utilizing schools as the hub of the community’s development and why we should plant this tree of Familyhood today.

All generations invited!!
